Holiday Events in Alabama for the Whole Family

Galaxy of Lights is a popular holiday event held at the Huntsville Botanical Garden annually in November and December. For more than 25 years, visitors from all over have admired the stunning lights and festive decorations. With options for both walking and driving, Galaxy of Lights provides a magical experience for people of all ages to create lasting memories together.

Take your place on the ice at Skating in the Park at the Huntsville Museum of Art. This holiday event in Alabama takes place from Nov. 17, 2023, until Jan. 7, 2024. Tickets can be purchased at the gate.

Head to Toyota Field to see nearly one million lights on display for Christmas. Take a cruise through the drive-thru light show and witness a half-mile of holiday lights. You can even tune your vehicle’s radio station to hear the synchronized music accompanying the show. For visitors on foot, walk through the winter wonderland display. It features a Christmas village, a giant snow globe, vendors, and more.

Tinsel Trail is a festive Christmas tree display in Downtown Huntsville's Big Spring Park. With over 400 trees, it transforms the park into a holiday wonderland. Visit from Nov. 24 - Dec. 31, 2023. Meta presents this year’s Tinsel Trail.
