3 Reasons to Buy Move-In Ready

Categories: Uncategorized | Posted: June 13, 2022

If you’re searching for a new home in the Huntsville or Madison area, you have probably been faced with the question: “Should we buy move-in ready or a fixer upper?” It’s no secret that the housing market is very fast paced right now, and purchasing a home in this growing area can seem almost impossible. However, we are here to help you understand the benefits of purchasing a move-in ready home versus a fixer upper, and why it could benefit you in the long run.

It’s Move-In Ready

We know, this might seem pretty obvious, but if you’re moving from out of state for work, or you just sold your home and have to be out in a certain time frame, then a move-in ready home is more than likely what you are looking for. Depending on how much ‘fixing’ the fixer-upper needs, it can be challenging (or not even possible) to occupy the home, until it is renovated. There will likely be construction material, and dust and dirt from working on the home, and if you don’t have working utilities, it won’t be liveable. A move-in ready home is exactly that, move-in ready!

Saves Time and Money

If you’ve ever done a home renovation project, then you know it’s not cheap or quick. Likely you will run into several problems during renovation, which can setback the timeframe of the project being completed. It can likely take up to a year, depending on how much time you have to dedicate to it, for it to be complete and move-in ready. While buying a move-in ready home might cost more upfront, you will likely spend the same amount on a fixer upper in the long run.

Less Stressful

Purchasing a move-in ready home is no walk in the park, but it certainly is not as stressful as an entire home renovation project. If you are not mentally up for the task at hand when renovating a home, it is best to purchase move-in ready. Renovating can be mentally exhausting and draining, especially if you haven’t done it before. You might be thinking the price is worth the hard work, but in the long run move-in ready homes can be much more beneficial.
