What do you enjoy most about being a Realtor? Its very cliché, but there really is nothing better than helping someone find the house they are going to make their home.

If you could give one tip to a buyer what would it be? Find an agent that you TRUST, that listens to your wants and needs. And please be sure to work with a LOCAL, dependable lender!

What do you remember most about your first home sale? I will never forget it, it was such a neat situation. We had a listing in Madison and the couple that bought it was moving here to retire, and the house was right next door to her sister’s house! We had multiple offers on the property, but the seller knew how special their house was to those buyers and took their offer! Every time I drive by that house I smile 

On a work day where might we find you having lunch? In my car

Favorite Charity? Any of the local animal rescues, they are doing a great work in the area helping abandoned/lost animals find their forever homes.

Favorite Memory? My college days at Auburn. Life really was so simple then even though at the time it didn’t seem that way. We have a son heading to college this year, and I have really emphasized to him how he needs to savor these next few years…they will be some of the best years of his life.

Cheers for? Auburn….WAR EAGLE!

Hobbies Projects around my house, painting, travel

What’s on your playlist? Bruno Mars, Aerosmith, James Taylor, Taylor Swift

Why Legacy Homes? Legacy really has tuned in to what the buyer wants right now…open concept floor plans, well appointed kitchens with large islands, great flow for entertaining and everyday family living….one of my favorite features is how the laundry rooms feed in from the master closets in many plans. Most buyers that see that think its genius!

EASYLIVING™ Plans, Part 1

Categories: Uncategorized | Posted: January 20, 2016

At Legacy Homes, we build and design homes for the way you live. We call them EASYLIVING™ plans. The plans are functional, spacious, and comfortable while maintaining a sense of beauty and craftsmanship.

Over the next few days, we will highlight 10 different enhancements that have been incorporated into the designs of Legacy Homes. Today, we’ll cover the first two.

1. Improve Everyday Living by putting more square footage where people want it most. Our open concept plans are spacious and we’ve intentionally dedicated more square footage to the Kitchen, Café, and Great Room, also known as the Lifestyle Triangle™. We give functional space in these rooms because that’s where everyone spends the most time. Cooking, eating, family time, and entertaining are all done here…everyday! The Lifestyle Triangle™ is where you spend 80% of the time that you’re awake in your house. Why not dedicate the most important, functional space in your home to the areas where you live?

2. Kitchen Islands are expanded to become the focal point of where you gather by increasing room for seating and food preparation. The Kitchen is the heart of your home, and a well-designed island offers a place for people to congregate. Whether it is homework time or they pitch in to help make dinner, the island is a great place for kids to feel part of the action and be in close eye view. The extra seating can act as informal dining for the kids or it can act as additional seating when entertaining. Having access to family or guests is always an advantage when cooking and preparing meals. The extra cabinet storage is a bonus!
